TESORO INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC DEPARTMENT NEWS

Ensembles earn highest ratings at District Music Festival. The Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble once again earned unanimous Superior ratings at the Capistrano Unified School District Music Festival on April 1st and 2nd. The Chamber Orchestra also earned the highest rating at the El Camino High School Festival in Oceanside in March. Congratulations to all of our band and orchestra musicians for their outstanding efforts.

Music Department Recognized by the Grammy Foundation. The Tesoro High School Music Program was selected as a Grammy Foundation Signature School finalist. Tesoro is one of 100 schools in the country to be selected. The Grammy Foundation recognizes and honors exceptional public high school music programs in the nation. Tesoro is one of 15 California high schools selected as finalists, competing with over 28,000 public high schools in the country. Congratulations to Mrs. Olinger, Mr. Magana and Mr. Hancock and all of our Tesoro Musicians for their outstanding work and incredible accomplishment.
